In El Tambo: Elementary Schools, Community Development Center, Cultural Center for Bilingual Education

Located in the area with the highest concentration of indigenous population, Azogues is the marketplace and centre of services for a large surrounding population. Located in the southern section of the Andes, it has remains of the Inca invasion that took place in the 15th century. There are opportunities for interns and volunteers in community centers, bilingual education schools (Quechua and Spanish), special education schools and protected areas for the conservation of historical monuments. In this community, education is being implemented at a slow pace. It is within this array of social assistance programs that interns will work.

The region receives many visitors because of the local attractions, and the local mentality is very welcoming.
