Teach English in Salasaca, Ecuador

Salasaca is an indigenous community of 12,000 inhabitants divided into 18 boroughs, all of them located on the skirts of the Tungurahua. Salasaca is part of Pelileo County, Tungurahua Province. This community is fighting for their right to have access to bilingual education (English and Spanish) within their school system. Interns will work closely with community leaders and teachers to teach English at a local school. Interns may choose to live with a local family to experience true Ecuadorian culture, or at a local Hostel. While there, interns will learn many things about Salasaca´s traditions, culture, language and beliefs.
