Conservation of Native Botanical SpeciesSponsored by a cement company, this foundation’s objective is to preserve the local botanical species. Home to a research area where scholars from different parts of the world conduct specialized projects, the foundation was given land by the city. Developing a protected forest and an educational environment, along with a museum of local plants where school children can learn about this topic are the top functions of this foundation. Volunteers will be working as part of teams in special projects.
Volunteers that choose this program will be involved in special projects. These include field trips and educating children on the different plants native to this area and why they are important to maintain. Volunteers may also get involved in the research projects currently taking place in the area. There will be a team leader to report to on a regular basis.
